Talk:Catholicon

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

This removes what Erase and -na spells can remove, with the exception of Curse

In a Meriphataud Mountains Ballista match(with 3 matches), I've had one experience with being affliected with curse. During the intermission in Ballista, a player was fighting a Bogy and it Cursed us all. Once ballista started, I told everyone to try to use a Catholicon but that did not remove the effect. I used a Catholicon +1 myself and others used a NQ version, neither removed it.

Para - nope

Got one last night in xarc, got para'd from ice spikes,,, popped the Catholicon and it didn't remove it (and it did work, it was not para'd and eaten)

just wanted to post a comment before i go ahead and put a correction up on the page, can anyone confirm that this doesn't work on paralyze?

I removed petrification from the list of ailments it doesn't remove. A friend of mine got one out of a casket in Cape Teriggan, and used it on me when I got hit with Baleful Gaze from a cockatrice. It did remove my petrification. --Kyrie 18:32, September 25, 2009 (UTC)
