So I went fishing for a Crystal Bass. In the Maiden's Spring. Cause that's where this page told it'd be. Well, you know what? WRONG! That is NOT where you get them. 30 throws in Maiden's Spring was zero Crystal Bass. ONE throw in Crystwater Spring, which isn't named on map like Maiden's is, and I got the fish. So please, Zoioshi, before you change things in the wiki...do take the time to check that you're not adding a mistake to it, ok? --Valle 21:31, 14 June 2007 (CDT)

This was my Fishing Guild Point item, so I dutifully headed out to Jugner with my trusty Halcyon Rod and 3 stacks of "recommended" Insect Paste. After two stacks of bait and zero Crystal Bass, I got fed up and retrieved some lures from storage. First, a Sinking Minnow, which hooked a few monsters and items, but seemed to isolate crystal bass bites very nicely. Second, a Frog Lure, which hooked 4 red terrapin and 4 crystal bass. Third, a Worm Lure, which seemed to isolate Crystal Bass bites about as well as the Minnow, but which also gave me a lot of "you didn't catch anything" messages. This was a pretty informal experiment, but I think it's safe to recommend the Sinking Minnow instead of Insect Paste. Hence my edit. Vaprak 18:02, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
