Does this stack with Elemental Seal when used with Drain, Aspir, and Absorb-TP to make them both more accurate and more potent? Tahngarthor 05:51, 19 September 2006 (EDT)

Elemental Seal and Dark Seal do the same thing (except that Elemental Seal works with any magic, and Dark Seal only works with Dark Magic). Neither make a spell more potent; they only increase accuracy (i.e. lower chance of resist). I doubt they stack, considering both already increase magic accuracy by a huge amount on their own. --FFXI-Kyrial 20:27, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Is Sleep affected by Dark Seal? I know it's enfeebling skill but just wondering if Dark Seal affects any spells that are dark element or just dark skill magic only. Petco 15:00, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Regretfully it doesn't. It affects only Dark Magic spells. This spell is just a severely gimped Elemental Seal. You could spend your merits much more wisely on something more profitable to you in the long run. The only way this would be useful (slightly) is if you *FULLY* merited it. And then you wouldn't be able to merit the more "important" ones (i.e. Desperate Blows, Diabolic Eye, and yes, even Muted Soul). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Avilas (talk • contribs).
