Talk:Delkfutt Key
From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia
"Delkfutt's Tower Key Item: As of the April, 2009 update, the first time you trade the key to the door, you will obtain the key as a key item. You'll now be able to throw the inventoried key away and still have access to pass the door. The screen will tell you you obtained the key, but will not tell you that it is as a key item. "
I've taken out that last sentence, the paragraph below (the elevator) and completely reworded it. First of all, the last sentence is moot, because everyone should know green bold text are items, and blue text are key items, so by nature it does tell you it is a key item.--Nynja 01:31, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
The main page says that this key allows you to travel between the bottom and top floors quickly. This seems to indicate that you can go both ways. However, unless I am mistaken, while you can run all the way up the stairs, you will come to a dead end finally where you are unable to target or reach the elevator to the tenth floor. In other words you can quickly go down, but you have to climb back up the long way. I did not change the main page as i fear I may be missing something. Icefreet 06:39, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- The elevator going up is at the very bottom of the stairwell.--Anthoron T/ C 07:44, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Tested this on my mule with the following results: Rank 3 char, doing the rank 4 mission gets the key, The key is NOT a key item. Open the dungeon and release the Ambassador, the key is STILL not a key item. Return to the embassy, the key is STILL not a key item. At a later date, I returned to Delkfutts and traded the key. It is now a key item. Updating the article to make this a little clearer. Idun Midgardsormr 08:38, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
