Talk:Djinn

These are actually their own family, not bombs. Like Snolls, they have their own seperate set of TP moves. The self-destuct one is Nocturnal Combustion, and I didn't catch the name of this other one, but it was AoE Bio. There is also a single-target physical damage attack that ignores shadows; can't remember the name on that one either. --Kyrie 02:42, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- AoE Bio is Dark Wave. --Pazdarcy 15:48, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Upon use of the spell of the day and bomb has TP it will use Nocturnal Combustion. --Elfi Wolfe 06:18, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Not anymore, it was fixed so it gives them 100% TP and they will not always use Nocturnal Combustion anymore. Most the time they AoE Bio now. --Bekisa 18:22, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
It seems that Djinn in East Ronfaure (S), no not use Nocturnal Combustion. In no way, have I been able to or witness this technique during my EXP and farming sessions. --Rikimarueye 21:45, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
The Djinns very well do use Nocturnal Combustion in East Ronfaure [S], especially if you hit it with an element of that element's day. Also I want to confirm that same argument where Djinns rate of TP is enormous when hit with an element of that element's day. --Pers 06:10, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Nocturnal Combustion can be a small nightmare for a DRK farming these and running afoul of darkday. I can say for just short of a fact that the Djinn in East Ronfaure (S) use Penumbral Impact only at night (After all, its shadow related by nomenclature) and Dark Wave (AoE Bio) during the day. They definitely still use Nocturnal Combustion when hit with the day's element, including Darksday. --Ranzear 08:04, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Having farmed these for a while, I'm pretty certain that each hit with the day's element gives the Djinn 100% TP. With the mob at low life, and hitting successively with En- spell of the day, the Djinn will spam TP moves successively with no other means of TP gain.
I've also noticed that the accuracy and/or potency of Nocturnal Combustion is affected by the time of day, with the most dangerous time being at or around 0:00. During the daytime, Nocturnal Combustion wouldn't even break my Stoneskin (75RDM, Prot 4 + Shell 4). As it got later and later in the day, Stoneskin would start breaking and each explosion would do progressively more damage. Shortly after 0:00, an almost full health Djinn used Nocturnal Combustion, killing me through Protect 4 + Shell 4 + capped fresh Stoneskin, 1250 damage registering in the log. Without buffs, this same hit would have done approximately 2000 damage. --Dar-dar 23:10, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
