Failed with 2blm 1rdm. We were just dicking around. Any who, seems like a good balance of a 2 party split would be nice. Since the qiqirn come from both side. War,nin,rdm War,nin,rdm That would be an ideal split for this but just a thought.

I recently redid this assault as brd/whm with a party setup of rdm/whm, drk/sam, sam/nin, sam/thf. We didn't split up this time and fought the mobs individually with little problem. It was crazy some times because they can gang up on you real quick. My biggest suggestion to anyone doing this assault is to have DDs with shadows, or something equivalent, and take hate along with mages that are MP self-sufficient.

I received 1360(first time) AP with 5 people winning in under 20 minutes with only one bird becoming unconscious. Also, our ??? ring was a Psi ring! :] --Pyerzuka 17:23, September 11, 2009 (UTC)

From my experience, hate in this assault seems to be really crazy, like a nin can voke 1, and a whm can cure 2 him and pull hate from just a cure 2. Phoenix 03:29, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

My first test was a terrible wipe because we tried to split in 2 groups. Bad idea. The best is doing full attack 1 after 1 and let the healer casting cures on npcs before they get 50%. Waves = 1-3 mobs, but they don't share aggro. They are focus on hitting npcs only. With this plan, we won perfectly with NIN DRK MNK WHM.

I donno if the qiqirns are actually immune to sleep grav or bind or not, but I was casting bind gravity and sleep with 314 enfeebling magic and HQ staves on RDM, and were all resisted still. Some people say you can land enfeebles with decent gears, so I'm not sure. We won this with PLD BLU MNK RDM. We found it was easier to mob up on a single qiqirn with all the male penguins, and let other penguins tank any more incoming ones and keep them cured up. They have quite a bit of HP too and you get no hate from curing them. --Haimon 04:20, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
