Talk:Fogweaver Mozzfuzz

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

Seen today (09/12/2006) at Ghelsba Outpost. Seemed to be on /follow with Warchief Vatgit and dropped 20 gil - :D

I checked out this NM after the maintenance today. I'll confirm that he definitely /follows the Warchief. I killed Vatgit so I could get a nice screenshot without him in the way, but I took too long trying to position my camera and he despawned. I panicked a little because I thought I might have missed my shot at this super-rare NM, but I was relieved to see Bloody Vrukwuk appear the next time Warchief Vatgit respawned. I didn't further test to see if despawning Vrukwuk would cause Mozzfuzz to spawn again, but I assume they alternate as such until one is killed. After one is killed... I doubt anyone's going to see either of them again until the next maintenance. Truly bizarre Notorious Monsters. I'm happy to have at least one of them marked off my list. -Merton 00:10, 28 August 2007 (CDT)

Thank you for solving the mystery behind these 2 obscure NMs. Mystery solved, they're Tweedledum and Tweedledee for Warchief Vatgit.

One question though, so they are always around when Vatgit is around? I'm just trying to reconcile your observations with why people so rarely saw them for 4 whole years--zoogelio-forgot-his-password 00:59, 28 August 2007 (CDT)

The only confirmed sightings are after server maintenance (just killed Fogweaver 09/10/2007), so I'm guessing there's a bug in the game that prevents them from respawning normally. I really don't think SE intended them to be this rare. --Merton 15:17, 10 September 2007 (CDT)
