Drop Rate

This item appears to have an incredibly low drop rate. My friend and I spent two and a half hours farming gnoles without TH, and another hour and a half farming them with TH, and didn't get a single drop. --Althorn 19:56, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Has anyone done research on possible variable drop rate? I know in other quests the item might have a decent drop rate on firesday but horrible others another one I know drops better in rainy weather. Has anyone tried to see if the drop rate seems to increases on a certain day or certain weather or maybe time of day? Like say it drops better during the night hours 20:00-4:00? or in the fog? --Atropachan 10:54, 20 December 2007

Lobison

Went with a group of 5 (PUP/WAR, THF/NIN, COR/WHM, WHM/BLM, WHM/BLM) to try farming these to see how they'd be on a New Moon. We confirmed that they do drop them: Media:lobison gnole claw.jpg —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Alake (talk • contribs).

After killing a million of them in Batallia Downs [S] we went for the Lobisons with a 75 THF/NIN, 60 WHM/BLM and a 75 BLM/RDM. Got 2 Claws on the first 2 Lobisons we killed. They went down pretty easy, BLM (me) not really neccessary. Aargoth 11:23, 8 December 2007

Batallia Downs [S]

Has anyone actually been able to confirm that the gnoles in Batallia Downs [S] actually drop this? I must've killed about 80 of them now and haven't seen a single drop. Fangryn 02:43, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
