Talk:Healing Breath

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

I scratched out the old healing breath formula because it's blatantly wrong and I'm sick of it teaching lies to new dragoons. It's not even accurate with 0HP gear, and the Wyrm armet data is wrong aswell. The replacement formula I posted takes into account every factor available to healing breath and has been tested with only one point of deviation. Further testing is required to pinpoint it, but until then, this formula works very well. For more a more detailed breakdown of this formula, please read "Healing breath test data" Byxfluzba 06:29, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Just a thought, since i see that the roc discussion page says he's soloable by a drg/blu, I would like to know if your wyvern will use healing breath while he's asleep? Drippy squiggles 12:10, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Squiggles

no, and not while otherwise incapacitated as expected charlottie 12:12, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

You avoid your wyvern getting slept by standing on the other side of roc as him. The radius of his horde lullaby is quite short. --Byxfluzba 01:35, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for your tip, I'm able to duo him now with a whm -Drippy squiggles 01:58, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Strafe

Just a thought, but through the years of playing I've never found any definitive proof of Strafe having/not having an effect on Healing Breath. Has anyone actually confirmed whether it affects it or not or does everyone just speculate and claim it as truth? ~Doluka 11:21, 10 June 2009

Healing breath isn't subject to resists, so added accuracy doesn't affect it. The only things seen to affect the potency (amount cured) of healing breath are TP modifiers, level (1/20/40+), certain pieces of equipment (e.g. relic helm) and your wyvern's maximum hp. --Chrisjander t/ c 18:04, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Ok then. Occasionally I get healed for less for some reason but I usually attributed it to resists which is why I was looking to see if there was any definitive proof somewhere on the subject. ~Doluka 17;54, 10 June 2009
  • TP Has a Direct effect on Wyvern Healing Breath Potency, Your probably Eyeballing the highest number (I.E When your Wyvern had high TP) as an "Average", And when you use Healing Breath with your Wyvern at low TP, it looks like your getting Less HP For no reason.
