We dropped a Helm Beetle in Quicksand Caves today, and it dropped a Beastmen's Seal. This means that according to the Kindred's Seal notes, that that particular beetle had to be at most, level 49.
I got as a 44PUP/22WAR 198 experience from it, with it being an Exp chain #2. -Kaelitz

Beastman seals can still drop from mobs in all level ranges, but kindred seals only drop 50+ I believe. The fact you got a beastman seal doesn't give any insight into the level of the mob. --Tazok 23:02, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

I don't know what statistics we use to determine the drop rates on items but the Insect Wings on the CN Helm Beetles is somewhere near 100% if not 100 because i'm 25/25 so far trying to farm a coffer key. --Aramiltaru 02:17, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

I know that it is a common drop and all, but I can't believe that helm beetles will drop a beetle shell 190% of the time. Found the diff here ( http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/index.php?title=Helm_Beetle&diff=prev&oldid=595241 ), looks like someone may have intended 20/63 (previous value 15/42), but left the 1 in the front for 120/63. --Atalantia 23:11, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Double-Drop Rate

What's with the "x2" drop-rate? Shouldn't this information just be reflected in the overall drop-rate? --Ctownwoody 18:20, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
