Talk:High Speed Soul Plate

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

Differences?

Does anyone know how these differ from normal soul plates? From experience, it seems that these do yeild more rare plates. i.e. I'm much more likely to get "White Magic Scrolls" with these than normal soul plates. However, do they have to be used in conjunction with the Soultrapper 2000 for best results, or does the camera not matter. --Altimo 08:51, 13 September 2007 (CDT)

Its very possible you're right. However, unfortunately, Jettons are relatively slow to acquire, unless you spend Imperial money. I would personally much rather spend 500 Jettons to get a 48-use Soultrapper 2000, and just get 4 stacks of normal soul-plates for 2 jettons each, and get right back out to taking pictures. I do think you're right though, when I do use the High-Speed soul plates, there does seem to be more "higher FP" skills. I will note, however, that the only two times I was able to get the "Attack Speed Bonus" Feral Skill (FP: 70) from Goobbue Gardeners was with a normal soul plate on a Soultrapper 2000.

These reduce the delay after using a soultrapper
