The Proc rate on this is very small, with limited testing, I've only seen 1 proc while in an entire beseiged event, and none before or since. --09:38, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Drain Effect
- MP Drain procs on mobs regardless of them having MP pool or not.
- The MP/HP Drain is a fixed range amount.
- HP Drains between 15-20 HP on the enemy (no buffs).
- MP Drains between 5-10 MP on the enemy (no buffs).
About a 13~15% activation rate (6~8% mp drain, 6~7% hp drain).

Also important to note that while her tests show that the MP drain can proc on MP-less monsters, her test also shows that the drain will be for 0. --KyteStrike 04:00, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
So the above statement about mp drains for 5-10 is incorrect, and while the mp drain can process, it will come back with 0 mp if the mob has no mp pool. SoichiroofRemedy 01:22, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
It is confirmed that the sword drains 0 MP if the mob has no MP pool itself. ( i have the sword and tested it). Also the proceedrate is much lower than stated above. In a colibri merit PT for 60min the effect only occoured like 10 times ( which is very sad) 15:24 18 November ( UTC+1) User:Windwhisper
I just got my Hofud, and using it for FoV in Ro'maeve, I had 2-5 proc's per weapon I fought. I would have put it about a 15% proc rate (eyeballed). I'm assuming then the proc rate is dependent on level difference. Makes this a great farming weapon, or other situations where you are fighting lower mobs. --Yoteo 19:48, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
