Malice

FFXIAH.com listed this weapon as having "Enchantment: Absorbs malice." Does anyone have any idea what malice might be? Maybe it's like Accomplice, but it absorbs hate from your NPC. (Oh and FYI, I created the initial page. Source data used was from FFXIAH.) --Boswen 15:26, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

When one of the Samurai mobs for the event use an ability, you can use the enchantment which gives you a Magic Shield effect that blocks there weapon skills, when you successfully block on of the attacks you get 1 point of malice, depending on your level of absorbed malice you can get various different items. --IHM 22:01, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Magic Shield Effect

I added a verification tag to the claim that the enhancement on this sword will absorb magic used my regular monsters. Can anyone verify that the magic shield effect works for anything other then the WS's used by the Samurai Armors during the Feast of Swords? --Rusomoso 02:18, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

I have been trying this out quite a bit myself on some different mage mobs and I can honestly say that of the dozens of times I've tried, the magic shield effect (sadly) does not work on the spells they cast.

I just used one, and got a 'Physical Shield' effect. They seem to have changed the item?
