Regarding the recent protection of the article, there were decent threads at BG and KI that seemed to indicate the VIT modifier. Perhaps someone can find it and link it --Aurikasura 03:47, 2 May 2007 (EDT)

http://www.bluegartrls.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15652& There's the link to the bg thread (the ki thread is linked to in the first post).

On an unrelated note, this thread on alla proves that jump doesn't give the target any tp. http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/jobs.html?fjob=14;mid=1179297417223533773;num=21;page=1

Tp to mobs

according to test done by people pm KI Link [1] Jump does not give mobs TP like a normal attack would, could someone please add it to the characteristics of Jump I would do it but cant since its locked from editing

Jump is now unprotected. Enough time has elapsed for a cooldown from the edit war. --Chrisjander 19:34, 20 May 2007 (CDT)

Jump?

72DRG/WAR36, Max attack, STR to make 330 a hit with 92dmg weapon Jumps:
330(MAX)- Also max normal swing
420(MAX)<- This indicates that Jump has an additive damage effect.(CANNOT BE CRITICAL HIT because of max damage.)(note this is also 33%) Added +8VIT for 432 max
750(DA), did not see a 660 DA though.
Did not see this "additive" in High jump. High jump... well didn't really see anything besides 330... after looking at this I'm thinking "You think Drachen greaves increases this rate of 420?" Just my two cents for today ^^ Lancer 18:28, 8 September 2007 (CDT)

So I've done some more thinking. I didn't mention my VIT was 67, then +75. So, relatively, this is what I'm saying. Jump VIT modifier isn't 100%, but it is 50% , and if your vit happens to be 2/3 of your weapon's dmg, it's going to be a +33% increasement. So based on this I'm going to add "ocassionally 50% VIT modifer" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cwg999 (talkcontribs).

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "occasionally 50% VIT modifier". Do you mean it only occasionally uses VIT as a modifier? Or that the Modifier is variable? Or perhaps that it's more like conserve MP and only occasionally adds a modifier at all? Please explain, as I haven't seen anywhere that VIT isn't a constant 50% modifier. Oh, yes you're right>_< I suppose that could be taken different ways, it refers to "occasionally" like joyuese, as whereas the 50% is referring to a fixed 50% VIT modification. But yes, it only occasionally uses VIT as a modifier. And yeah, neither have I, but when I went out jumping when random damages were broken, it was CLEAR that VIT is not active all the time. (330 330 420[50%VIT dmg modifier)])(NOTE: Critical hits STILL did 330, so it was NOT a critical hit when it did 420, rather 92DMG weapon + 75/2=37.5VIT is 92->129, 129/92-> 133%[33%] increase)(Then the 750 DA was 330+420) Lancer 23:33, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Jump formula update.

Due to having some jumps not fitting in the 3.15 pDIF cap when using the current model, 50% VIT with an @ of .83, 2 discussions ensued in which a different formula was posted, here is the end result with testing: [2]. If you take a look at what Starfox posted, he shows where someone did multiple tests and found the formula as:

floor((D+fSTR bonus)*(VIT/256+1))

If you go to the original BG thread listed there, you'll see that they had an issue where the 65 vit didn't fit in the calcs when treated like a WS, so they rounded up(which the game never does) to match it. They weren't 100% sure. If you calc with the formula Starfox provided, it matches perfectly:

The person had 109 base damage including fSTR, and 63+2 vit, then 84 vit. floor(109*(65/256+1))= floor(109 * 1.2539)= 136. He then multiplied * 3(the pdif cap at the time) and got 408 damage. for 84 vit: floor(109*(84/256+1))= floor(109 * 1.328125)= 144 * 3= 432.

Tests with other jump numbers fit that as well.

Correct formula: floor((D+fSTR bonus)*(VIT/256+1))

For the love of god people, stop claiming conte gives 2.5TP. Conte cosciales give 2.5TP ONLY. NOT 3. conte25.jpg --Byxfluzba 11:20, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
