Hmm. I've heard a lot of people refer to this as the Shijin armor set.--Timon of Athens 01:49, 1 April 2007 (EDT)

Just putting it on here for those that might say to themselves, "Shijin? What are they talking about?"--Timon of Athens 02:34, 1 April 2007 (EDT)

  • However, on a similar note, nowhere has Square-Enix ever referenced the Tu'Lia Notorious Monsters as the "gods." They do, though, reference them as the Shijin in both Kirin's opening speech and in Bartholomew's epithet on the ??? near Brigandish Blade in Ve'Lugannon Palace. So, for this reason, I am changing the description from "accumulated from the gods" to "accumulated from the Shijin, found in Tu'lia" (which shouldn't confuse players, as the 4 Shijin and Kirin are listed directly afterward). --Demitel 15:38, 6 July 2007 (CDT)

Honestly, why can't the description just read: "This set of armor comes from five High Notorious Monsters found in Tu'Lia: Kirin, Seiryu, Suzaku, Byakko, and Genbu." It's much easier to understand then trying to debate the proper term for Kirin and his cohorts. --Nahara 00:35, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Description

This is the set of armor accumulated from the Shijin, found in Tu'Lia: Genbu, Seiryu, Suzaku, Byakko, and Kirin.

The description is somewhat strange; Shijin literally means "Four Gods", and those four are Genbu, Seiryu, Suzaku, Byakko. Maybe it would be better to state:

This set of armor comes from Kirin and the Shijin, Genbu, Seiryu, Suzaku, and Byakko in Tu'Lia.

Oh, and a minor footnote: Japanese players refer to this set as Gojin Soubi (五神装備), or "Five Gods' Equipment". Kirin definitely isn't a member of Shijin ("Four Gods"). --FFXI-Itazura 12:21, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
