Talk:La Vaule (S)
From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia
Does anybody know why the zone has a new name for the Shadowreign Realm? (--Xphacter 12:59, 20 March 2008 (UTC))
Because La Vaule is a San d'Orian (French language style) name and Davoi is an Orcish name. It was an Elvaan settlement until the Orcs took it over. The name change reflects it. Constantinople became Istanbul, St. Petersburg became Leningrad when the communists took over and back to St. Petersburg when the USSR became history. People rename things to suit the 'new order' when they get in power often. --zoogelio-forgot-his-password 02:32, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
It was also mentioned to be called La Vaule back before the war in a certain CoP mission (part of the Sandy path of 3-3 if I remember correctly; Hinaree was the one who mentioned it). --Kyrie 05:46, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
This page is incorrect. The map is NOT acquired as part of the Davoi map. I have the Davoi map in my key items, but the La Vaule [S] Zone does not show a map. Modifying it to show that this is incorrect information. --Weesol 15:12, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
- Don't know what you're doing wrong then man, check your game files I'd say, and check what maps you are missing, because it does show up for me and obviously for enough other people for that entry to be there.--DarkJack 18:11, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
I was scouting and an Orcish Augur aggroed me when I was clearly sneak/invis'd and hadn't done anything that would aggro a monster. I think it's truesight. Is it ok for me to edit this into wiki? --User:Kynadre, 19 July 2009
