Random trivia: In the anime Lucky Star, Konata finds a really rare sword called Laevateinn in the MMORPG she plays! --Kyrie 22:14, 4 August 2008 (UTC) Also, in the game Valkyrie Profile, Levatine is the most powerful sword the main character can equip. -R

In case anybody asks later, this staff contains NO hidden magic damage enhancement beyond the listed 20 MAB (ie, no hidden bonus similar to elemental staves.) I'm very curious to see if this is worth having OVER elemental staves for nuking, but not for debuffs. Looking at the stats I would think it would be, but I'd like to know if anybody has tested this out.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy

The Laevateinn makes an appearance in Dissidia: Final Fantasy as the second weapon exclusive to Shantotto; it can only be equipped once Shantotto has reached Lv.92. It increases the player's base BRV by 38 and ATK by 61. It has the special effects of increasing the duration of Ex-Mode by 30% and increasing the player's BRV by an additional 15% at the start of a battle. --Nahara 19:07, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
