Talk:Lethe Consomme

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

Since there's some need for clarity about what these lethe feeds do, here's my experience. I taught my digging bird Treasure Hunter and then accidentally taught it Gallop. I fed it one lethe consomme and no other food, no change. There were no other lethe consommes on AH that day. The next day the bird had a hurt leg so I had to feed it the medicinal greens. The day after that, the bird was well and I fed it one more lethe consomme. There was no special glow and the trainer did not say anything unusual, but I checked the stats and to my delight Gallop was gone and Treasure Hunter remained. So in my case it took 2 lethe consommes to strip the second ability learned, and they were fed on different days with other feed in between. I can't make any generalizations about this food's effect, but maybe this information could help someone in a similar circumstance. NanaaMihgo 00:14, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Fed it two Lethe Consommes and it removed the 2nd learned ability (Canter). --Seedling 17:39, September 5, 2009 (UTC)

I have a chocobo that was born with Canter, it's only ability currently and I wanted to remove it. So far I fed it 8 consomme and it still has it. Going to try again tomorrow as a full 8 took it from Starving->Completely full. It also apparently increases receptivity by a slight amount as my birds recep. went from "Substandard" to "A Bit Deficient" after two Consomme. Shurikenger 02:52, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Female chick was born with "Gallop" (fathers ability) instead of Bore (mothers ability). I trade 1 Lethe Consomme on day 1; nothing happened. Traded a second Lethe on day 2; nothing happened. On day 2 the chick's spirits were high so I traded a third Lethe; nothing happened. I still have the ability, so I've given up.
