I just got this earring a few days ago and can confirm that it improves the quickeness of your spell casting by about 6%, however it does not shorten the recast timer of your spells, which is kind of dissapointed it only increases the speed that you cast them.
Fast Cast and things that enhance it should improve all the aspects of Fast Cast. As you mentioned, you've noticed a 6% difference, which is a small difference to notice a change in recast time. Are you sure it doesn't improve recast timers? My suggestion is the test it with Raise, which has a very high recast timer. --Chrisjander 13:15, 20 March 2006 (PST)
Yes, I agree, I have tested It with Utsusemi recast timers but no change in the recast time but maybe if i try it with raise it may knock a second off of it, I will try it as soon as possible. Athough i have discussed this earring with several rdms in my linkshell that have it and they have told me that it does not change the recast timer whatsoever, it just quickens spells by about 6%. I have noticed this myself to be true so far but I do not posses a parser to test this.
~It could be possible that having RDM as your main or subjob may give you the -full- Fastcast effect. For example, a RDM main would get both casting and recasting time benefits, whereas a WHM/SMN would only recieve a faster casting time bonus without a change to recast? Has further testing on this ring been conducted?
Considering that "loquacious" means talkative, it would make sense if it only affected cast instead of recast. Kinda sucks that way though. --Picket 23:12, 10 September 2006 (EDT)
I know that Fast Cast affects recast timers so i hope thats not whats being discussed. IE. AFhat reduces recast of haste by 1 second, not must but if you and a whm go head to head on the amount of hastes you can cast on someone i know the rdm will win hands down. --Estacie 14:24, 19 Nov. 2006 (CST)
