Talk:Lowing
From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia
What I'd like to know is whether this spell will cause plague instead of disease, like it does when Buffaloes use it. If so, then coupled with Feather Tickle and Light of Penance, this spell could be of lots of use versus any mobs that have dangerous TP attacks. --Kyrial 07:45, 7 June 2006 (PDT)
When a Buffalo using Lowing, your TP is lowered 5tp/tick --Ganiman 22:15, 29 September 2006 (EDT)
The Blue Magic spell does inflict Plague, not Disease. --Sετεsђ of Ғεηгіг t/c 15:38, 21 February 2007 (EST)
But the description of the spell has the description of Disease. --Joped 15:54, 21 February 2007 (EST)
Plague is a more powerful form of Disease. It's like Bane and Mute (more powerful forms of Curse and Silence). Hence why the description says that it inflicts a powerful disease effect. When this spell is cast the chat log line reads "Target receives the effect of plague." --Sετεsђ of Ғεηгіг t/c 17:35, 3 March 2007 (EST)
Ah, thanks for clearing that up. ^^ --Joped 18:08, 3 March 2007 (EST)
Is there any logical reason SE (laughs because logical, reason, and SE are in one sentence) gave us this spell? I mean besides Brenner and Ballista. --Darthporisius 01:09 JST, 22 December 2008
While obviously the resting hp/mp part doesn't make much difference for mobs, since it's Plague it also lowers mobs' MP and TP slowly. So if nothing else, it'll slow down TP accumulation for mobs, which can be good against certain enemies with powerful TP moves. --Sετεsђ of Ғεηгіг t/c 21:42, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
