Talk:Maneater

Can anyone confirm/deny the validity of the notation "Accuracy +5" on the main page? I'm familiar with the hidden latent +attk effect, but I've never heard of a hidden +acc effect for this axe. -Almont | Ifrit server
This is confirmed. You can measure your exact accuracy by checking the cons of different mobs. Quite simply put, a mob will check as Tough with low defense when latent is not active, and Tough with low defense and low evasion when it is. 100% Maneater adds accuracy. -Ayann/Makaveli | Lakshmi
Axe on BST
This is probably the best Axe you can get for BST (or even any other job like WAR). If you're BST, buy one!
I agree wholeheartedly, worth the Gil for it. Question tho. Recently sold my Woodsville for an Iron Ram Pick and offhanding that. First, is that a good combo? A WAR friend of mine said that it's better but i have no way of testing. Second, kinda considering working on Aymur. Would you main hand Aymur or off hand? Kinda leaning towards Offhanding but thought i'd get the community's opinion.Yulyn 00:40, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
Dual-Wield
Has any testing been done to confirm or deny the latent taking effect while being used as the off-hand weapon when dual-wielding?
- Well, I don't own it yet(or have my war high enough to equip it) but testing is simple enough. Go with a Maneater/<something> and check your att, note it. Swap them so it's <something>/Maneater. If the ATT is the same, then it works in offhand, if it's lower then it doesn't. --Sharaa 07:33, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Off-Hand Latent Confirmed
I've equipped a Maneater in main and off-hand. Attack bonus is granted in either slot! ^^ --Swipp of Ramuh
