The value of this dagger is under discussion.
I just tested a friends MK before I went and bought one..... which I won't do. Tested on TW and EP farming mob, with either Blau Dolch and Thf's Knife, or THf's Knife and MK. (You need Thf's knife in the setup, otherwise, why are you farming?) - edit: if you already have a Blau, what are you farming for? --Yjhuoh 04:17, February 5, 2010 (UTC)
I had the impression that Blau Dolch was faster on TW mob, and MK maybe a tad faster on EP.
On Bahamut MK is 3 mil at the moment. Welllll, if you got everything else and need to show off, be my guest, but in terms of additional damage? Not happening. Certainly not for 3 mil.
For lower lvls, in Xp Pt,,, well, maybe... try it.

This is coming from a zerg loving drk knight. this dagger should be worth more than 3 mil. With proper gear set up for zerging i have personally done over 12,000 damage parsed on kirin zergs. Best zerging weapon under a kraken club imo.--Sabretooth1208 20:55, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
I just got mine, (75 Thf) and I can say that it is perfect for what I intended to use it for: Quickly killing easy prey/too weak mobs for farming. The higher the mobs level becomes the more dangerous it is to use while soloing, as it gives the mob a lot of tp to throw at you. That being said, with a solid weaponskill set, this dagger can be a very good choice for thf's offhand. - Valo of Midgard

Enspells[]
I do not have one, but it seems to me that using it with an Enspell with a level 99 PLD or DRK, or job subbing RDM, on mobs with high enough physical defense that it would hit for zero damage would be useful. The mobs would not gain any TP, and the enspell damage should be considerable. Especially if you use shadows, sort of like the Charybdis fight.--Snorglepuss (talk) 22:58, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
