I find if I leave a page lingering for a long period of time and come back later, clicking "Show preveiw" or "save page" etc it has:

"Warning: Page has Expired The page you requested was created using information you submitted in a form. This page is no longer available. As a security precaution, Internet Explorer does not automatically resubmit your information for you"

To resubmit your information and view this Web page, click the Refresh button."

And no matter what I do, click back, refresh... all my information is lost.

So I save my progress every 10 minutes or so by clicking "Save page".

Usually when I do it from my own computer I write it through a word document first, this also removes some spelling and grammer errors but I'm often using someone elses machine and I cannot save on it (Such as a university account etc).

Is there anyway I can stop this loss of data without having to clog up wiki and so I do not upset people? Thanks--Drow 17:20, 22 September 2006 (EDT)

This may be a function of how Internet Explorer handles cookies, so I have two suggestions for you.

  1. Change your IE options to always allow cookies for the wiki (or everywhere).
  2. Just get Firefox like the rest of us.

Either way, its a problem with Internet Explorer, not with the wiki, so play around with your options, there should be a solution in there somewhere. --Chrisjander 17:49, 22 September 2006 (EDT)

I've always had trouble getting firefox plugins to work right, especially quick time. Either way I can't install firefox on others (like my Unis) computers. Thanks anyway though.--Drow 04:47, 5 October 2006 (EDT)

Protection

Any particular reason this page is protected? Seems like anyone who has experience with the wiki should be able to have input about getting started for new users. --Divisortheory 17:40, 21 February 2007 (EDT)

Um ... because it is Nynaeve's Guide for New Members, and it's on her member's page. --Mierin 18:55, 21 February 2007 (EST)

minor typo

I'm not good with talk pages yet, so forgive me.

The word "lewd" is misspelled as "lude" in the article.
