Talk:Paralyze II

Seeing that I'm not sure about the "effect increases by 1" effect, I'll be placing my opinion here. With the many tests done with Slow II it has been shown that the slow % does not significantly increase with further merits. There is instead evidence that perhaps the effect alters the requirements for slow II to cap on a more difficult enemy. (i.e. less mind is required for the full effect thus allowing the player to use skill and macc equips to ensure that the spell lands and lasts.) It would be rediculous to propose that the effect increases the chance for this spell to land seeing that further merits already supply magic accuracy. As for Paralyze II, there is much to suggest that the case is the same (i.e. less mind is required for the full effect as the enemy's difficulty/base mind increases.) I've personally seen a drastic increase in the ammoung of paralyze procs (and yes I'm using Seiryu's Hundred Fists as an example) from level 1 Paralyze II to level 3 using a skill heavy set up to land the spell. This is NOT implying that more MND does not mean more procs, just that there is likely a cap to the proc % and thus the userMND/targetMND ratio. Again this is only my personal experience with this spell. If ANYONE would like to add please feel free. Thank you. Kujo! 15:22, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Kujo - Leviathan Server
I have level 4 Paralyze II and I'm looking for the 5th and last upgrade (because with all other enfeebling magic unlocked is the current limit) and I still have troubles landing my paralyze on certain mobs, Slow II in the other hand lands 90% of the time and is only level one, I do believe that many mobs in the game, especially Tier III and up has a very strong resistance to Ice based enfeebling spells. I'll test out Paralyze II level 5 on other mobs and report in here. --Edwards of Caitsith--
