I was only able to count -10 Perpetuation from the appropriate page. Considering three -1 items (Evoker's Ring, Nashira Gages, and Evoker's Pigaches +1, two -2 items (This robe and the Karura Hachigane I assume you meant in reference in Garuda), and the obvious of the HQ Staff.

Garuda costs 13 a tick at the time you can wear this stuff, so you're still draining 3. Even if you threw in Conjurer's Ring and Gamma Earring, it's still just one shy.

So the closest you can ever get is to have a Garuda that only costs as much as your Auto-Refresh, while you're in Salvage, while you're in yellow HP. ...Seems like it'd be easier to match weather or day with AFv2. --Taeria Saethori 19:56, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

LOL. ok I retracted my statement, and you made me second guess myself, but after going over the numbers i was right. My origonal statement was that with penance robe you can get a free garuda. This is true. And here is why.

Penance Robe=-2mp Evoker's Ring=-1mp Evokers pigaches+1=-1mp Bahamuts staff=-3mp Conjurers ring=-1mp Auto Refresh=+1mp nashira gloves=-1mp sanction/sigil=+1mp Karura Hachigane=-2mp

Which is a total of 13 MP Reduction. I must say though you should have Scholar sub with this because subbing white mage will give you auto regen, and that will mess up the latent on Conjurers ring. This gives you free garuda, unless i am missing something?

I still think you are using the word "free" too liberally. While it is true that with such a setup you would be able to have Garuda out for the entirity of the duration of Sigil or Sanction (as long as your HP and MP remain below the requisite percentages), it is never truly free unless you can reduce cost to zero, and therefore maintain Auto Refresh and outside forms of MP recovery. --Taeria Saethori 21:29, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Well true, this isnt the most optimal way to have a free garuda, and its relying on a few factors, but regardless its a free garuda. A more realistic perpetuation for garuda is -1 mp a tic (getting rid of the reliance on sanction/sigil). --Darkrift
