I have a theory that if you move out from under the waterfall before the 5 minutes is up, the time resets.

I was doing this quest with a friend, Jokerman. We got rid of the 3 Jammer Leeches, I went under one waterfall & he went under another. He went AFK for a bit & every couple of minutes I'd walk out to see what my progress was. I wasn't "piping hot" yet, so I went back under. Every couple of minutes I'd check again, while the whole time Joker was AFK, under the waterfall, not moving. When he came back, his scent was washed off, but mine was still on, even though we had gone under our respective waterfalls at the same time. 2 of the leeches had respawned & my smell was still not coming off. The 3rd leech respawned & was hopping back and forth in front of us (by this time, Joker had moved over to my waterfall since he was getting sleepy) and I had to sneak us both. Every 2 minutes or so I'd move out from under the waterfall just to get the message that I wasn't ready yet. At this time, that phrase "Curiousity killed the cat" came to mind as Joker got aggro & we had to kill the leech again. After that, I figured maybe I'm supposed to stay still. So I sat down, went AFK, washed some of my dishes, brushed my teeth, washed my face, and came back to check. I was worried that maybe there was a glitch & I'd have to ruin my perfect record of zero calls & inform a GM of the situation. I slowly tiptoed from under the falls and a new message pops up saying that I'm "piping hot"! --Joon 02:46, 19 June 2006 (PDT)

**Leeches aggro sound and track via scent (it is possible to complete this quest without killing any of the leeches).
