Talk:Pulling Guide

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

Not bad lol O_O. Only REAL suggestion I have. Is to get rid of <call> in the macros-- Or use <call14>+, Because frankly; <call> makes me hate people. --Daniel 10:59, 18 July 2006 (EDT)

"<call>" on every pull is really annoying (and I'm THF main myself).
Every call lower than 14 is extremly loud and hurts the ears. I'd only use it to wake people up or sometimes on using 2-hr.
As a ranger, I have 2 /ra macros, one with <call> and one without (1st for pulling and the other for shooting in battle).
Also the part with pulling out your weapons before the pull is bad for THF's, as I recommend doing SA/TA before the pull. This way you might accidentally hit the mob without procing SA/TA.

Some other things you might want to add, like "using Acid Bolts for pulling is a good thing" and that the puller needs to discuss with the main healer at what MP they're comfortable with a pull. Good job! Hope to see you making more contributions. --Tsakiki 11:01, 18 July 2006 (EDT)

Another thing you should mention is the use of Hide for getting rid of links of certain types of mobs. --Tsakiki 12:07, 18 July 2006 (EDT)

Thanks I realised I'd missed hide on the way home... thought of something else, but I've forgotten again!

P.S If someone can put in a bit about using BST as a puller I would be gratefull!

***WARNING: If you are partying with Daniel I recommend using something other than <call> as he will hate you!***

lol O_O.. Erm, recommend removal? lol --Daniel 04:31, 19 July 2006 (EDT)

Hehe, thanks :p --Daniel 04:35, 19 July 2006 (EDT)

"If your party is lucky enough to have a high level healer looking after it." I've never thought I was lucky to have a PL maybe it's just me >.> --Markus 19:43, 30 January 2007 (EST)
