Talk:Random Deal

When choosing an ability to reset, does it only consider abilities that currently have a recast timer up, or does it consider all the abilities (which would make it more random)? Tahngarthor 05:31, 19 September 2006 (EDT)
As far as I have seen when playing: It considers all the abilities, therefor if you have not used any abilities it doesnt really affect you but if you only used say 1 you have a chance at getting that one back but its not 100% due to the fact that one of the ones you haven't used may be chosen to get the recharge. --Nynaeve 08:27, 19 September 2006 (EDT)
Going on that, would you get something reset 100% (assuming not evaded) if all of your abilities had recast up? Tahngarthor 15:27, 19 September 2006 (EDT)
No because not all Random Deal Rolls will give you an ability back so I suppose it depends on the number you roll... There have been times when all my abilities were used and I got nothing back... >.<' --Nynaeve 15:52, 19 September 2006 (EDT)
I just used a Subjob ability, and then a Merit JA (Snake Eye), turned Snake Eye off, and then hit Random Deal, over 50 times in a row... and nothing was reset ever, not even once. Loaded Deck x1, no Commodore's Frac. --Genosync 23:34, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
- Since getting a single Loaded Deck merit, Random Deal has never failed to reset Snake Eye or Fold, when they were the only two JA's waiting on timers. When Phantom Roll is awaiting timer, it does seem to get priority. Quesela 07:05, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- Just popped Random Deal with Snake Eye, Barrage and Sharpshot all waiting on timers. Reset Barrage.
