Seems have a correlation between self destruct and drop rate. Out of 8 runs only 2 that droped nothing was when no self destruct. Most likely greatly increases drop rate on self destruct. Needs more testing Heimdall77 04:42, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
Damage Resistance?
Quote: "Defense seemed somewhat high. Blade: Jin and Vorpal Blade didn't break 100, but a DRG's melee hits did around 90 average."
I'm willing to bet this means he has resistance to slashing. Unless Blade: Jin and Vorpal Blade were only landing one hit per WS, I don't see how this discrepancy would be. --WinterNightz 21:57, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
This is by far the toughest ZNM to get to. Aside from what is listed is there any other possible way to get to this nm? Mabon 03:50, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
No, you have to go the way suggested. If you only want him for tier 3 unlocks, I suggest Anantaboga or if you have the mages, Dextrose. --Lightningcount 15:23, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
damage resistance
damage resistance seems to go down as he gets bigger, or some other factor ninja:
we kited with 9 people in alliance, and in the beginning, jin was doing 98~, and melee swings were doing around 9-13,
by the end, i had a crit for 50ish, and jin for 470 --Nattack 06:11, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Setups
My LS did it with NINx1 BLM x4 WHMx1 MNKx1 RDMx2 BRDx1 THFx2. Incredibly easy, though self-destruct did kill maybe 3-4 people every time, so be ready for that. He uses self-destruct almost instantly, I don't think you can stun it- or maybe that was my imagination. 3 fights, 1 arm and 1 strap dropped. No arm for me. -_- Guess I'll have to see if I can ever drag them to do it again, heh. Kincard 14:59, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
