Talk:Remedy Ointment

Not guaranteed to work?
Is this item not guaranteed to work, or is the list of status effects that it cures incorrect? Someone I'm speaking with says that it's not curing their paralysis. They have no other status ailments other than paralysis either. --Lunarcurtain 12:43, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
- Well, if they try to use it but get paralyzed, the item will be lost with no effect. As a result it can take several tries to remove paralysis. --Valyana 18:06, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
- He says he wasn't getting paralyzed while using the item. Or at least no such message was given. He's also not sure whether or not the monster (Ose) was just re-paralyzing him. He says that the one time it did seem to work, there was an animation effect. --Lunarcurtain 22:09, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
- Paralyze is one of the most annoying status effects when it comes to getting rid of it on yourself. If you cast the spell, you get paralyzed while casting; if you use a remedy/remedy ointment, you get paralyzed when using. --Chrisjander 22:36, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
- Shouldn't it at least give a message saying you were paralyzed if it prevents you from using an item? --Lunarcurtain 22:45, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
- I've used Remedy Ointments to cure paralysis. It does cure the status effect if it is not blocked. --Aurikasura 14:35, 30 April 2007 (EDT)
I'm not so sure of that, I've used it before on voluptuous vivian and it did not cure paralyze. If it does cure paralyze then it's either not guaranteed, takes several uses, or does not work on all versions of paralyze. It was successful in removing blind and silence, but the paralyze effect still remained.--Nateypoo 08:54, 27 July 2007 (CDT)
this does not remove plague, probably removes disease though Shaddix 04:32, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
