On most HNMs the effect appears to be capped to about 2% (and is further subject to a target's magic damage resistance, like the 50% resistance built into Tiamat, Vrtra, and Jormungand, effectively capping it at 1% on those). The biggest exception to this is any Behemoth-family mob, which are highly vulnerable to darkness- This 2hour can (with a little luck) do major damage to these mobs (Behemoth, KB, the behemoth KSNM, the behemoths in Limbus), far more than fenrir's can. Tested Ruinous Omen three times on Seiryu; it dealt exactly 73 damage each time. Testing on Kirin and Jormungand resulted in even less damage. I can't remember the exact numbers, but I believe it was less than 50. Aside from fighting a Behemoth, it's by far the most worthless of astral flows. -- Yen 19:56, 3 April 2007 (EDT)
