Talk:Ryunohige
From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia
I think since so many of the other articles mention their previous FF counterparts, it should be mentioned here that the Ryu no Hige (translated as Dragon's Hair in the English version) was the strongest lance in Final Fantasy IX. Malumultimus 11:25, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Ryu no Hige actually means "Dragon's Beard" in Japanese. Final Fantasy as a series always has problems with translations...

Dragon Whisker was one of the best spears in Final Fantasy IV also, and was the japanese name for the Dragon Spear in FF4 which dealt 2x damage to dragon type enemies.
i took out the info on 100% Crit hit jumps because we do not have 100% evidence of this yet. if you wish to put it with a needs verification then by all means do so. but info given before they had come out and said they may have changed should not be posted as fact yet.dejey 17:08, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- This was one of the weapons that the premier sites were given to play with. So, it has been confirmed. --Lordshadow 17:51, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- It was given to this site, in fact. :P But what Dejey was saying was that SE said after letting the premier sites play with them was that some things may be changed about them before being released, and therefore it should have a verification tag at least until someone actually gets it. I doubt it was changed, but regardless, I'll put the tag. --Kyrie 18:00, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm going to go ahead and remove that statemnet all together about auto-critting and jump augmentation. Due to SE's alteration of Mythics after allowing fan sites to use them means that anything that we learned about mythic augmentation is speculative at this point. Miraun 21:38, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
How do we know it makes them crit and not just double it's damage modifiers? After all there were equipment/skills in past FF games that doubled dragoon's jump damage. In FF4 Dragoon Boots turned Jump into Dbl.Jump, and High Jump in FFIX made Freya's Jumps deal 2x damage. Perhaps this lance just doubles the final calculated damage. If it does crit then it should do abnormally high damage to high defense targets like Kirin without food buffs(Should do 100~+) but if it does double damage then Jump should still do 0-50 on Kirin(without food/buffs) --Seraphus 23:46, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
DMG? Did someone forget to re-add the DMG after an edit on this?Zareth 00:29, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
