Talk:Sacrifice

Has anyone tried to sacrifice Amnesia or possibly weakness, although I sincerely doubt that would work lord.cruxis@gmail.com 09:28, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Novam
I've tried it on Amnesia, it had no effect. Also, I noticed something else about Sacrifice:
"Casting Sacrifice while Afflatus Solace is activated grants a bonus to the number and variety of enfeebling effects transferred. Sacrifice's effect allows it to be paired perfectly with Esuna, allowing a whitemage to take ailments from one member (thus fulfilling Esuna's requirements) and removing said ailments from the entire party."
I still have testing to do, but this quote from the main page does not seem entirely accurate, as which status effects Esuna and Sacrifice remove seem to depend on whether Misery or Solace are up. Esuna seems to require Misery for anything that can be removed with the spell Erase, but those same effects require Solace to be up in order for Sacrifice to take effect. Unless they intend on having you do Solace > Sacrifice > Misery > Esuna, which seems a little roundabout to remove ailments. Has anyone else done more testing on using these two spells together to see how they work? Blendercat 02:50, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Does not appear to remove Debuff Songs even with Afflatus Solace active. Most likely as they are not enfeebling effects or considered a negative Status Effect, even though Erase will remove them. I tried many times with different levels of cure stored up and Div Seal. Tsuzee 4:52, 19 April 2009

Divine Seal
I was playing around with this on WHM, at the Rolanberry ANNM, the slug. I cast sacrifice and it removed 2 effects (with solace active). For a joke, I figured, since it might be a form of status cure, I'd try to divine veil it and see if I can AOE sacrifice. It didn't really do anything for aoe, but I noticed that after curing 0 more hp than I had before, a divine seal sacrifice removed 5 effects instead of 2. Maybe for so much hp cured, you get 1 more effect as you break into solace tiers, and divine seal doubles this amount of hp stored for the 1 spell? Vyvian 04:55, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
