Talk:Sickle Slash

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

Why was the part about this spell being pierving dmg removed? Its in other Blu spells sites as well.--Ophenix 22:57, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Sickle slash strangely does blunt damage even though the name would imply otherwise. An easy place to test this is gusgen mines. Cast mandibular bite on which is slashing on mob with neutral def and than cast sickle slash. They both should do roughly the same damage. Afterwards find a jelly which has a resistance to blunt damage and you will notice that sickle slash does roughly half the damage that mandibular bite does. Next cast them both on a skeleton type mob which are weak to blunt and you will notice that sickle slash does 1.5x that of mandibular bite. Proving that sickle slash is in fact blunt and not slashing damage.

The abundant supply of Huge Spider (lvl.35-38, 5 min. repops) in North Gustaberg (S) right next to the Cavernous Maw makes this camp a great choice. Gropitou 20:12, October 1, 2009 (UTC)
