Talk:Sieglinde Putty

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

I think this should be a redirect. Unless there is some reason to believe that it is photoshopped, I would assume that SE made a mistake or thought it was funny that Sieglinde would name his putty Seiglinde. --Gahoo 13:39, 6 July 2006 (PDT)

I was thinking maybe they renamed it in an update for some reason. I can't see why anyone would have photoshopped the image. --Tsakiki 13:41, 6 July 2006 (PDT)

That would be a good reason, but they even spelled the name of the inventor incorrectly. I think either the Elvaan's name is wrong or this item. I think there are other examples in this game of the Japanese to English tranlation problems. Some of the text for quests and missions are incorrect or just bad English. --Pinkfae 13:43, 6 July 2006 (PDT)

Well the NPCs name is most likely correct since Joon just uploaded the pic and has been correcting misspelled names as he/she goes. Just need someone to check the AH real fast and we will have our answer. --Gahoo 13:55, 6 July 2006 (PDT)

From my talk page --Tsakiki 13:58, 6 July 2006 (PDT):

Um, actually I think the correct spelling is "Sieglinde Putty" ^^;; --Ichthyos 13:20, 6 July 2006 (PDT)

Hmm, I just checked at AH. The item's short name (in inventory) is "Sieglinde Putty", and the long name in the item box is "Sieglinde putty" as well. The description reads, "An adhesive putty invented by the alchemist Sieglinde. It is often used to fill cracks and prevent leaking of water and air." --Ichthyos 13:28, 6 July 2006 (PDT)

(It was my conversation with Ichthyos that made me go put things back the way they were. --Tsakiki 14:00, 6 July 2006 (PDT))

Ok - so we need a new pic is all. --Gahoo 14:46, 6 July 2006 (PDT)
