Talk:Sleep II

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

Does Sleep/ga II just have a longer duration than Sleep/ga, or is it just more accurate? Or are they just more sleep spells to cast in between recast times? lol --Kyrial 10:20, 27 January 2007 (EST)

they last longer, and i *think* they're more accurate as well. they may not be though. i'm not entirely sure, about it being more accurate.

Sleep II is more accurate than Sleep, and it also lasts longer. You have a greater chance of landing Sleep II on mobs than Sleep if they have any tendency to resist you. Freebytes 19:49, 27 July 2007 (CDT)

Hate issues.

Can anyone tell me how much hate this spell will give? My tests show its abit more the Provoke, but it wasn't a very thourough testing.--Ophenix 19:10, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

I tend to beleive it's equal to provoke for only 1 reason. If is Sleep ii a mob that has been provoked buy the Tank to stop the mob from attcking someone else. If my sleep ii lands after provoke i get hate if it lands before Provoke tank gets hate. The game has a rate in which hate is lost. I feel that If provoke is done before Sleep II the tank will loose more hate than you will. If i use Sleep and is unresisted tank will keep hate if provoked before or after slept. If the tank has taken serval attacks before sleep lands then I can still get hate when the mob wakes. So it seems that if you get hit you loose hate from each suceesful hit.
