Talk:Snarl

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

I can almost guarantee that "all hate" is true. I've done a few tests already. Once, provoking an Aern and using Snarl on a Stayed Carrie. No other actions were performed by neither me or Carrie, the Aern stayed on her until she died. Another, I beat down a Beach Bunny, called out a Hare familiar when it was nearly dead. Popped Snarl, and like expected, the Beach Bunny went on the Hare Familiar. After a few attacks, I provoked the Bunny, with no success at grabbing the bunnys attention.--Skaw 03:58, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

I reckon the formula for enmity transfer is something like 100% - 1 to prevent from erasing a player off of the enmity list on the monster's A.I. --Overgryph 21:22, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

This JA looks very interesting. Granted, is it is a 100% hate transfer, one could: attack > disengage > Snarl > Wait till pet dies and mob de-pop.

While the ability does transfer almost all hate it doesn't transfer all of it, when your pet dies the mob will still remain claimed and proceed to head right for you per usual. Still an amazing asset to any BST and functional in a ton of scenarios. Phaseone 17:21, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

it says hate is transfered only if u attack the mob but what if u agro does it still work? Redchaos 18:36, November 20, 2009 (UTC)
