Caught lightningday with Lu Shang's w/minnow lure. With 27 fishing skill this was a difficult catch for me to land. I don't remember the text I got when I hooked it but I do NOT think it was "You have a good feeling about this". I barely landed the monster before running out of time (after the "You don't know how much longer..." message appeared).

I'm a lvl 75 SMN and I fish with carbuncle out so I just ignore monsters and let carby deal with them. However, poor carby was down half his hitpoints after about 30 seconds and it was just then that the ferry zoned. After reading more info about this NM here I consider myself lucky to be alive! ^^

Caught Southern Piranu twice now from Whitegate to Mhaura route, so maybe Southern is Whitegate -> Mhaura and Northern is Mhaura -> Whitegate? --Kenshinx 20:09, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
