Talk:Spirit Surge

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

I don't know if this is true, because ive never leveled Dragoon. However; I heard that this 2 hour absorbs your Wyvern. If this is true, it should be added.

It does, and I believe the DRG has to have the Wyvern out first before activating Spirit Surge. Also, the wyvern cannot be re-summoned until Spirit Surge wears off.

A few questions I hope someone can answer... I know that you can get HP, STR, and TP from your wyvern when you activate this ability. How much? And does it depend on the type of wyvern (offensive/defensive/multipurpose)? Also, what is the duration of the effect? -Aiya

Aiya, to answer your question (which i admit, my responses is probably a bit late) but Spirit surge is not affected by Wyvern type. Your Max HP is boosted by 15% and then the Wyverns remaining HP is then given to you, "Curing" your lost Hit points, TP is the same, just transfers your Wyverns current TP over to you (to find out how much it has, the command is <pettp> in game) STR is different though. That is calculated via your Current DRG level divided by 5 +1, so a level 75 DRG using this ability would get 16 STR. Hope that helps!--Whitewolf 02:51, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

The max HP boost is not always exactly 15% but close to it. My theory is a Dragoon that wears Pet HP enhancing gear can gain more than 15% max HP when they use SS. As with every other effect granted during SS, these numbers are not random or set values, but rather values based on what is already established on the board. Wyvern current TP, HP, etc. You can see why the rumor that Dragoon max HP is raised +15% during SS may be inaccurate in some cases. --Overgryph 12:34, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Wyvern's delay

What is the Wyvern's delay and how much would it subtract from the Dragoon's delay when using Spirit Surge? Petco 21:44, 23 June 2007 (CDT)

Jump accuracies under Spirit Surge

I have had Jump and High Jump miss while in Spirit Surge, though it seems to be rather rare - they do hit almost all the time, but I had once where Jump missed though High Jump did connect. I'd say they have increased accuracy, but certainly not 100%. Elixer_Of_Quetz 19:40, 01 Dec 2007 (EST)

This is correct, if you take a look at this thread there's a screenshot of a Jump after 2hr missing. I'll edit the 100% out of main page. --Chatokun 23:59, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Haste

Can someone link me to the tests done to show that SS Haste is counted towards the Magic haste cap?
