I'm not sure if anyone cares, but I Double Attacked this weaponskill on my SMN today, did nearly double my normal damage (go figure). Definately makes the Pole Grip nice for a soloing SMN. Orenwald 20:07, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
Converted damage to MP
Is it 100% of damage you deal converted to MP or less? Petco 06:42, 10 August 2007 (CDT)
It seems to always give me the same amount of MP as it deals in damage. I'm about 95% sure that it's 1:1 every time. TheRya 17:32, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
Correct, MP recovered is equal to damage dealt; Catastrophe recovers HP equal to damage dealt, btw. :) Tahngarthor 00:48, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Does this deal a lot of damage? Like, I'm just curious because I'd hate to skill all the way to this weapon skill just to deal 30 damage and get only 30 MP back.

Depends on the mob I guess, I usually get 100-200 MP, if I save up to 300%, I can even get 300+ MP back. As PLD/WAR (as god intended it to be) it's enough to solo most DC and even EM mobs without any risk of death. Equip a Hercules' Ring and you can even farm them with no downtime whatsoever, which is sufficiently awesome. And as I'm writing this, my skill is only 215, it should get even better once it's 250+. I can't seem to find anything about this anywhere, so does anyone know if this is based on DMG as well as INT and MND? I mean it's different from all other WSs, so you never know. If DMG is not a modifier on this one, it would give us a reason to use Mercurial Pole. --Enternius 23:09, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
The weapon's DMG is an influencing factor in the amount of damage you can deal with this WS. You'll get much better numbers using a Primate Staff than you will with, for example, a Dark Staff. --Feenicks 02:26, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
