Was the actual name of the company "Square Co." Ltd.? I thought is was "SquareSoft"? --Volkai 19:30, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

It was Square Co. Ltd in Japan, Squaresoft was the NA version. Flag 19:46, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

I thought it was Squaresoft, then Square, and then Square Enix. Unsure though.

The chain was, pretty much, Square Co. Ltd > Squaresoft (often used simply as the name on the games) > Square Electronic Arts > Square-enix. Flag 19:49, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Square Co., Ltd was the Japanese company, Square Soft, Inc. was the NA company (and separate from Square USA, Square Electronic Arts, and Square Pictures---although, all were subsidiaries/partnerships with Square Co.). Today, it's all "Square Enix"---and all regional companies (including Japan) are owned by Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd--Anthoron 12:13, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Would anyone have a problem with me changing the official site to: http://www.square-enix.com/eng/index.html? I ask only because the page in discussion is in english and would be proper, in my opinion, to link to the official english site for SE. Cjudge 19:39, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
