Talk:Squid Sushi

Would be great to say which job benefits most from this type of food?
Job for food
Well this food would be best for whichever job can benefit from it's DEX, AGI, and acc the most. I'd say the optimal job for this food is Thief...but usually you want to find the optimal food for a job lol. Thf tho can benefit from dex for SA and acc, agi for ranged acc and TA, and the acc and ranged acc bonuses speak for themselves. (SA=Sneak Attack, TA=Trick Attack). But a lot of jobs can benefit from this food. I'd say if u don't need AGI as much as u need STR, go w/ Sole Sushi.--Unsigned comment by User:Baraddur
- In my opinion, Squid Sushi as far as Damage is just for those who can't afford sole sushi, or who want the accuracy bonuses without risking a high-cost food* (such as in the case of meriting on Greater Colibri.) Next to the actual R.Acc+ you're getting, the 2~3 you get from Squid Sushi's AGI is negligable. Also, as far as AGI for trick attack, STR and AGI are given very like modifiers in Trick Attack. In fact, sometimes STR is given a higher natural modifier due to TP multiplier of a weapon skill. In any case other than already having capped fSTR, or using trick attack, meleeing once, and sitting around for 52~60 seconds for another trick attack, you *will* get more damage from STR than from AGI.
- As far as jobs this would be useful on, I could only see a Ninja that is focusing purely on alleviating damage in a party, and already has the ability to secure enough hate to tank--otherwise, Dorado Sushi or the shining Sole Sushi would be favourable.
- Now, as I said, this would be a *situational* food, not a job specific food. The best stat this food has compared to other sushi is reflected in your gil.
- *It is assumed that Squid Sushi will generally be less expensive than all other types of sushi due to its synthesis result of 6 per NQ instead of 2.--Dragonspight 10:02, 11 February 2007 (EST)
