Talk:Stray

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

This category should be removed. There is no Stray-type mob. Strays in the 3 main Promyvions are Wanderer-types and Strays in Promyvion-Vahzl can be Seether-types or Weeper-types (there may/may not be other types in Vahzl). --zoogelio-forgot-his-password 19:49, 28 Jan 2006 (PST)

There are Three Different Strays

This page needs to be divided in 3, with the top set of data and profile for the Wanderer-type Stray, the middle type for the Seether-type Stray, and the bottom for the Weeper-type Stray. Somebody would also have to deduce how many of those 57 are seether-type and how many are weeper-type. Somebody should also get pics of the 2 other types too --zoogelio-forgot-his-password 17:55, 4 July 2006 (PDT)

Requested Move

Move: Dividing this into [[Stray (Wanderer)]], [[Stray (Weeper)]], and [[Stray (Seether)]] seems to make more sense. --Joped 19:53, 28 February 2007 (EST)

EDIT: Maybe I didn't mean move... Turning this into a disambig page would make more sense. --Joped 19:54, 28 February 2007 (EST)

Agree: It makes more sense to divide it, though on each individual Stray page, it should say: Strays in Promy-Vahzl are of a different monster family than the Strays of Dem/Holla/Mea, and vice versa. --zoogelio-forgot-his-password 21:51, 28 February 2007 (EST)

Comment: Hmmm, then does there really need to be any admin action? XD --Joped 22:08, 28 February 2007 (EST)

Resolution: Do not move. --CharitwoTalk 22:58, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Interesting Fact

It appears that Strays that are spawned before the Memory Receptacle is attacked do not assist it (tested by carbuncle attacking the Receptacle while strays were still out). However, strays that spawn after the MR is attacked do indeed assist it (again tested with carbuncle). Theoretically, one person could take all the strays that are out and take them for a walk while the party destroys the MR. --The Evil one
