Talk:Tachi: Kaiten
From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia
So, Alleya says Kaiten←→Kasha create Light
If this is really true, then I should change the "Light/Fusion" to "Light/Fragmentation" as the SC attribute --VZX
I can confirm that Tachi:Kaiten has the Fragmentation property. Mercy Stroke->Kaiten created Fragmentation. --Aurikasura 16:39, 10 July 2006 (PDT)

Is this a range weapon? Just wondering because the animation sort of looks like it could be range. Petco 01:12, 9 June 2007 (CDT)
零之太刀・回天:rei no tachi Kaiten: the zeroth style of the tachi: The Grand Accomplisment
Kaiten literally means "A monumental task"
Yes interestingly enough, it is 零, zero, not 十、ten.
There is alot of connotation to the name, and I've found several varrying versions of its meaning. I updated the page as all the others, and included the various prior meanings. --SongOfChaos 19:41, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Doesn't boost attack like Y/G/K does, so it fails in high mob defense situations... --Bsphil 08:44, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
To the above... What? --Rixstarian 12:43, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Y/G/K either gain a large attack boost or partially ignore def. I believe it's Gekko > Kasha > Yukikaze in order of largest boosts. Kaiten doesn't do this, so on higher def mobs it will do less dmg then Y/G/K --GodsBlackArm 21:23, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Isn't that speculative? I don't see why Gekko is superior, or why a Weapon Skill would have a hidden effect / Aftermath. Could you show me some proof if there's any? --Rixstarian 08:43, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
On the other hand it will gain the full benefit of dia II/III on any NM, high def or not. Dia III divides pdif by 0.85 which is the same as getting ~18% pdif boost. Pchan 12:00, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
