Talk:Taster's Cape
From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia
What is the rate of refresh from the add effect? is it a fixed 1/tick or is it based on the potency of the DoT? Ergo could you pop a venom pot and get ~3/tick? or get hit with some mobs poison ability w/ DoT vales as high as 14/tick? thx for ne info Milotheshort 07:27, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
???
It says "cape" yet it's a waist item... --Nicknick 00:33, 15 March 2008 (EST)
No, it is not a waist item. It is a back item. -- Aikar 22:39, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
I realise that, but when I posted the above message the article was obviously formatted improperly, which is why I was confused. SE has made typos like that in the past. --Nicknick 14:56, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Title change
I can't figure out how to do it but whoever created this page, the title needs to be "Poison Taster's Cape" not just "Taster's Cape", otherwise no one will be able to figure out to find it by searching for it, because it is indeed called "Poison Taster's Cape." Please change this if possible.17:07, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Items are listed by what they are listed in your inventory. So I think this is listed as "Taster's Cape" in your inventory. If not then it can be changed. "Poison Taster's Cape" should be a redirect (and it now is). --GAHOO t/ c 17:46, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- As far as I can tell, items are listed by their full (help text) names, and not their short (inventory, auto-translate, treasure pool) names, thus I have nominated the article for movement (swap with the current redirect). As examples: Ducal Guard's Ring, Republican Silver Medal, Combat Caster's Scimitar +1, Quicksand Coffer Key. --Tsukinomahou 12:24, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
since it clearly says poison taster cape on the item just add poison to the title :) lego 13:12, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, that is how it appears in the image, but our Naming Conventions require pages be named how they appear in a player's inventory, not the image description. The Auto-Translator also says Taster's Cape so until someone can come up with a screenshot that displays poison in the inventory, this discussion will remain open. --CharitwoTalk 16:23, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
