Talk:The Die Is Cast

From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia

Is it necessary to mention that the NM can hit for 75+ per hit? It's incredibly subjective to the type of player that is getting hit. --Altimo 16:46, 12 August 2007 (CDT)

Strategies

Soloable by a 75SMN in a long, dangerous fight. Bukki has too much HP for a tougher avatar to take it out before you run low on MP and carby will lose hate frequently. If you run between the pop point and the island to the south you can buy time for recasts, but if Carby loses hate beforehand Bukki will be able to catch up to you much faster than Carby can catch him. I had four Yagudo Drinks. I used Fenrir at the start until I ran low on MP, then spent at least 10 minutes letting Carby peck away at him while I refreshed some back. Once Bukki got to around 20% I had enough to let Fenrir finish him. It still required recasting Fenrir though. Frenetic Rip spam finished him off once. --TECHNO-- Talk / Contrib 22:30, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Tried this for Blue Mage to learn Frenetic Rip... got Bukki to 10%~ then let our Sam/war face tank him while we fed him TP with low dmg spells...no Frenetic Rip used...he did use Manafont about 2min into face tanking then we killed him off because tier3 nukes hurt sam fast...so i suspect either he starts Frenetic Rip spam while low hp + after 2hr unless he has been changed~ --Rmajere 05:51, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
