Talk:Undying Promise
From FFXIclopedia, the free Final Fantasy XI encyclopedia
My strat for this one: MNK/NIN + NIN/WAR or WAR/NIN + WHM or RDM. Basically you want to outlast him. Bring yag drink for the mage, eye drops for the melee. Fight him like a standard skeleton. All of his debuffs/buffs are cleared when he reraises. Fortunately this means he rarely has ice spikes. Use Banish to lower his defense.

3DRK, 2BLM
Just did this, and there were indeed three mobs that I concluded to be DRK. I'm doing it again, so we'll just see. --Dragonspight 14:43, 3 February 2007 (EST) P.S.: Yep. confirmed --Dragonspight 14:43, 3 February 2007 (EST)
Easy BCNM
Me and a few friends have gone 15/15 on this BCNM, trying to get Utsusemi: Ni. We have never seen it drop from this BCNM, I would suggest to do Royal Jelly or others. We went as PLD/WAR, MNK/NIN and WHM/BLM, all and all its an easy BCNM
MNK + PLD + WHM
This combination is suggested above and elsewhere and worked well enough. Battle times were 11-13 minutes so relatively close to the time limit. MP was a minor issue; WHM required three yagudo drinks per fight and PLD two. Skeleton weapon skills were able to blind and slow melee and needed to be removed regularly. Utsusemi:Ni dropped first run. Other drops added to main page statistics.

Items in multiple groupings
I can confirm for sure that both Gold ingot and Ice spikes can drop in the 4th grouping. However, they can also drop at the same time, this means that one or both of them can ALSO drop in the 5th grouping, but I am unable to determine which at this time. --Jawat 19:52, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
