Reformatting Coming

Unless there are objections, I'm going to reformat this and every other 'Vs.' Page to sort the equipment by slot and level. I'll be using the existing equipment category pages as a guideline as I reformat this entire page. This will help make it easier to edit in the future and more useful overall IMO.

Example of what I'm doing:

Weapon

Level Name Type Damage Effects Jobs
43 Storm Axe Axe 32 Resist Vs. Ice -10, Resist Vs. Wind +10, Resist Vs. Earth +10, Additional Effect: Wind Damage WAR/DRK/BST/RNG
51 Auster's Staff Staff 35 AGI +5, Resist Vs. Earth +20, Evasion +10, Additional Effect: Wind Damage All
51 Wind Staff Staff 30 AGI +4, Resist Vs. Earth +15, Evasion +10, Additional Effect: Wind Damage All
53 Thundercloud Spear 59 DEX +3, Resist Vs. Ice +11, Resist Vs. Earth -11, Resist Vs. Lightning +11, Additional Effect: Lightning Damage WAR/PLD/SAM/DRG
71 Axe of Trials RareExclusive Great Axe 87 Latent Effect: HP +20, Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Earth +10, Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Water +10 WAR/DRK
71 Club of Trials RareExclusive Club 29 Latent Effect: HP +10, Latent Effect: MP +10, Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Earth +10, Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Water +10 WAR/MNK/WHM/BLM/PLD/SMN/BLU
71 Dagger of Trials RareExclusive Dagger 27 Latent Effect: HP +20, Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Ice +10, Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Earth +10 WAR/RDM/THF/BST/BRD/RNG/NIN/COR
71 Knuckles of Trials RareExclusive Hand-to-Hand +16 Latent Effect: HP +20, Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Earth +10, Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Water +10 MNK
71 Prelatic Pole Rare Staff 55 INT -4, MND +4, Resist Vs. Fire +6, Resist Vs. Ice +6, Resist Vs. Wind +6, Resist Vs. Earth +6, Resist Vs. Lightning +6, Resist Vs. Water +6, Resist Vs. Light +6, Resist Vs. Dark +6, Healing Magic Skill +10 All
71 Sword of Trials RareExclusive Greatsword 74 Latent Effect: HP +20, Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Ice +10, Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Earth +10 WAR/PLD/DRK
75 Kirin's Pole Rare Staff 60 HP +20, MP +20, INT +10, MND +10, Resist Vs. Fire +15, Resist Vs. Ice +15, Resist Vs. Wind +15, Resist Vs. Earth +15, Resist Vs. Lightning +15, Resist Vs. Water +15, Resist Vs. Light +15, Resist Vs. Dark +15 MNK/WHM/BLM/PLD/DRG/SMN

I am very tempted to leave out everything but the impact on Earth Resist for all the listed armor, as it is the only relevant data to the page. I'm already leaving out weapon delay, and omitting the rest of the clutter would make the table take up much less space on the page as a whole, like so:

Weapon

Level Name Type Resist Vs. Earth bonus/penalty Jobs
43 Storm Axe Axe Resist Vs. Earth +10 WAR/DRK/BST/RNG
51 Auster's Staff Staff Resist Vs. Earth +20 All
51 Wind Staff Staff Resist Vs. Earth +15 All
53 Thundercloud Spear Resist Vs. Earth -11 WAR/PLD/SAM/DRG
71 Axe of Trials RareExclusive Great Axe Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Earth +10 WAR/DRK
71 Club of Trials RareExclusive Club Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Earth +10 WAR/MNK/WHM/BLM/PLD/SMN/BLU
71 Dagger of Trials RareExclusive Dagger Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Earth +10 WAR/RDM/THF/BST/BRD/RNG/NIN/COR
71 Knuckles of Trials RareExclusive Hand-to-Hand Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Earth +10 MNK
71 Prelatic Pole Rare Staff Resist Vs. Earth +6 All
71 Sword of Trials RareExclusive Greatsword Latent Effect: Resist Vs. Earth +10 WAR/PLD/DRK
75 Kirin's Pole Rare Staff Resist Vs. Earth +15 MNK/WHM/BLM/PLD/DRG/SMN

I actually like the way the information is presented in the second table. Although I think we should keep the Magenta instead of the tan. My reasoning is thus: We use tan for most normal tables, and I think we should keep the magenta for stat lists like on this page. That way we'll can have two different color schemes for different uses of tables. The only reason I've kept using tan for non-stat tables is because I start my tables by taking the table on the Merchant section of the Item Template and modify it for the current page I'm editing. So I think we should bring back magenta on these types of pages, and keep separating and formatting as you've been doing. I'm glad someone is taking up this project, because I just don't have the time for this sort of thing anymore :(

To elaborate on why I prefer the second table, I think the information is more compact and to the point. When I'm comming to the Vs Earth page, I'm comming to find what things modify Vs Earth, not what else it has. I'll be looking for how much the items modify it, and it's a problem if I have to sort through the clutter. So when you boil it down to the important parts (level, name, type of equip, modification value, and jobs), it's much easier to read, and takes up less space. --Chrisjander 00:34, 28 November 2006 (EST)

I agree with CJ. --Gahoo 09:20, 28 November 2006 (EST)

I like the current look of it alot. If you can standardize the rest of the stats like this, it would be perfect. --Chrisjander 11:12, 28 November 2006 (EST)
