Set refresh effect

Regarding the refresh effect received from wearing the full set of Yigit armor, this page currently says the following: "There is an interesting difference, however, to, say, summoner sub refresh. This refresh ticks 2x as fast as a normal refresh, and this carries over to any other refresh effect that you may have on. Whm/SMN therefore have the equalivant to 4/mp per tic." There are two problems with this. First, while I don't have the full set myself, I do have multiple LS members who have it and they never seemed to get any extra fast refresh (additionally, I've never seen *any* effect in the game that operates faster than the usual 2.5 second tick). Secondly, even if this statement were correct, the math is wrong in the second sentence quoted. If the Yigit set gives 1 MP per half-tick, then that would translate to 2 MP per tick. Add this to a WHM/SMN's normal auto-refresh, and you'd get 3 MP per tick, not 4. I'd delete this information, but I just signed up and it seems rather presumptious of me, especially since I don't have the full set. Could someone who does have the set come in and confirm this? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by CAustin (talkcontribs).

I have the entire set, refresh effect is 1/tic, just like verm and black cloak. --Aurikasura 16:23, 13 February 2007 (EST)

I was the original person who made this change. While we were over-assuming in the original effect, it is still somewhat valid, this set enhances any auto-refresh effect you may have, it ticks out of time. The testing was done with a pld with a parade gorget, and a whm/smn with full yigit. The effect should have been that they recieved mp at the same rate, they did not. The WHM recieved mp almost +1/4 as fast. This has since been changed, however, in the most recent update (Feast of swords) this no longer happens. I can only assume this is/was a glitch. -Lhun, Cerberus

Comment

This set used to, (probably from a coding glitch) almost double the speed of an already existing auto-refresh effect. The set would tick "out of time" with other autorefresh effects, unlike, say, a SMN wearing a yin-yang robe. Since the 2007 Feast of Swords event, however, this has been patched, it seems. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lhun (talkcontribs).

Requested Move

Per the naming convention. User:Sigma/Sig 02:59, 23 May 2007 (CDT)

Per naming convention, should be moved back to Yigit Armor Set now that it's storable ("Yigit armor claim slip"). --FFXI-Setesh 22:41, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

I concur. --Melios 04:47, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
