Walkthrough
- Quest Conflict: If you have the quest A Timely Visit active, you may be unable to attain the proper messages and cutscenes in La Theine Plateau from certain NPCs. You may have to complete this quest before taking on this mission.
- Precaution: If you are of a low level, you may want to bring a few Silent Oils to prevent aggro from monsters. You can also have someone to help you defeat them while performing the mission.
- Talk to a San d'Orian Gate Guard to accept the mission.
- You may have to trade 9 crystals to increase your rank points enough to enable this mission.
- Head to La Theine Plateau and walk down the road until you encounter Galaihaurat at (E-6). Speak to him to start the rescue drill exercise.
- Head to (F-6) and talk to Equesobillot located at the eastern side of the canyon.
- Walk down the embankment and talk to Deaufrain. Continue to walk down to the lower level of the canyon.
- Poison Funguar may aggro by sound. Defeat it if necessary or prevent aggro by casting Sneak or using Silent Oils.
- Talk to Vicorpasse, then Laurisse, and finally Narvecaint near the zone to Ordelle's Caves. After speaking with all three, enter Ordelle's Caves.
- Optional: Speak to Augevinne and Yaucevouchat for additional information about the rescue drill.
- Upon entering, follow the left wall until you locate Ruillont hiding in a small pond next to a wall at (G-3). Speak to him to learn about his situation.
- Backtrack into La Theine Plateau. Speak to the Elvaan soldiers around the canyon until one gives you a Bronze Sword. It is completely random for each person as to which soldier will give you Ruillont's sword. This also include Galaihaurat just west of the ramp at (E-6).
- Return to Ruillont and trade him his Bronze Sword.
- Trading him a different Bronze Sword will not progress you through the mission. You must use the sword given by one of the soldiers.
- Return to Vicorpasse to receive the Key Item: Rescue Training Certificate.
- Return to San d'Oria and speak to a San d'Orian Gate Guard to complete the mission.
